Raul Perez is an absolute phenomenon in Spanish winemaking. Having left his mark across the country as a consultant, he is very much at home in Ribeira Sacra with the Mencia grape. Finca Millara is Biodynamic, situated on terraced vineyards that drop into the Minho river below. A stunning part of "green" Spain.
Hand harvested (mostly on foot but some from a boat!). Partial full bunch fermentation followed by 12 months in new French oak and a further 6 months in bottle before release.
More powerful and complex than 'Olivos', its little brother. Floral and balsamic nose, Toasty red fruit on the palate. Will certainly age beautifully. This is Raul Perez flexing his talents in a wonderfully experimental style.
