A true Italian wine legend at an affordable price
Producer
Production
The Casalforte wines are the jewel in the crown of Cantine Riondo, a producer that has fervently driven quality and sustainability on a considerable scale in the historic Valpolicella area.
The unique process used to make Amarone involves drying the grapes in the cellar for 3 months to concentrate all the flavours. Following fermentation, the wine then spends 24 months in oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
A full-bodied wine with intense aromas of cherry jam and dried fruit cake. The wine is rich with ripe black fruit and notes of vanilla, toast and coffee. Pairs perfectly with rich pasta dishes, stewed meats and mature cheeses.
