Conde de los Andes Blanco

Rioja Alta, Spain
Take a seat because this packs a punch. For lovers of full creamy whites.
Bodegas Ollauri-Conde de los Andes sits in the heart of Rioja Alta and boasts the most stunning (15th century) cellars you're ever likely to see. The wines though are bold and modern, and nicely complimented by a plethora of older vintage gems they have to hand.
100% Viura grapes, hand-harvested from 30-year-old single vineyard vines are fermented in new fine-grained French oak barrels. Fermentation and lees contact lasts 3 months total, followed by a further 6 months ageing in the same barrels.
Tasting Notes
Powerful nose of ripe tropical fruits with vanilla and cream. Full bodied and viscous but supported with plenty of acidity and liveliness. Will go very nutty with age.
