Producer
Production
George Lacombe is a small producer with 12 hectares of vineyard in the Vallée de la Marne sub-area of Champagne. The winery is located in the town of Aÿ and makes use the UNESCO protected cellars built underneath this beautiful town.
A very high percentage of 1er cru and Grand cru fruit is used at Georges Lacombe. A very even split of the 3 varieties allows for a fantastic balance of fruit and structure. 30 months of ageing goes well beyond the minimum necessary and elevates this all-round superb Champagne.
Tasting Notes
Rich, toasty, brioche (everything you want from Champagne), is backed up by baked apple, citrus and a beautiful lingering finish.
