Grillo
Rich and fresh, a masterclass in the sicilian indigenous grape variety of Grillo
Producer
Production
This winery is one of the oldest and most reputable in all of Siciliy. Each wine comes from specific plots in Sicily that are chose to best express the chosen variety. It is then through this painstaking care and attention that the wines are made to not only showcase the unique Sicilian terroir but the grape as well. They’ve been perfecting this since 1824.
Hand picked from fully ripe grapes in the hills of central-western Sicily, hinterland of the province of Trapani which is between 200 to 300m above sea level. The grapes are gently pressed and only the first-press is used. The resulting wine is matured for more than two months on lees, then for a further month in bottle.
