Producer
Production
Family producer, Ruiz de Vinaspre, make all their wines from their own vineyards in Rioja Alavesa. This is a Moreno exclusive that we have worked jointly with the winery on.
Hand harvested from 7 of the wineries best plots with vines all being over 60 years old. Whole wine aged in a mix of new and old 80% French oak and 20% American oak for 4 years (well beyond what is necessary). The wine also sees extended bottle ageing, only being released when ready to drink.
Tasting Notes
The ultimate expression of Rioja. Soft, elegant dried fruit and aged to perfection in toasty oak.
