The Cantina di Francesco Annesanti is located in Castel di Lago, a hamlet of Arrone, in the lower Valnerina. After renovating some rooms within the family farm, Francesco Anne Santi transformed them into a cellar to be used for the production of wine. Francesco gives life to wines faithful to the peasant heritage, favoring spontaneous fermentation, maceration on the skins also for whites, vinification in terracotta amphorae, minimal use of sulphites and bottling without filtration.
Ninfa del Nera is a white wine produced from Grechetto, Malvasia and Trebbiano grapes, with semi skin contact maceration followed by 6 months ageing in stainless steel tanks on its lees with weekly batonnage. No sulphites are added and no filtration.
Tasting Notes
A fresh and flinty Italian blend from Umbria, with plenty of minerality and crunchy fruit. Aromatic, with notes of prickly pear and citrus, opening up with more green fruit on the palate and a savoury finish.
Ecological Credentials
Organic, Biodynamic, Vegan
