Production
A piece of history in Portugal. 7th generation family run. First wine bottled in 1850 and the oldest producer of Moscatel de Setubal bottled in 1880 - still in their cellar.
Periquita is renowned for being Portugal's first ever bottled red.
Fermentation lasts for about 7 days at 26ºC with full skin contact. Aged for 8 months in French and American new oak.
Tasting Notes
Sweet fruits, blueberries, cassis and violet. Extremely well balanced with soft tannins. Excellent with a cheese board.
