Sometimes great packaging doesn't align with the quality of juice therein. That is certainly not the case with Francesco Anne Santi's cheerful Pet Nat of Aleatico and Sangiovese. Francesco converted his family's farm to a humble winemaking facility (and by facility we mean a barn in the far reaches of rural Umbria), where he meticulously produces his natural, hand-crafted wines in almost impossibly small quantities.
This artisanal wine is made using biodynamic farming principles from Sangiovese and Aleatico grapes sourced from Francesco’s land in the Valnerina Valley in Umbria, refermented in the bottle in a semi-sparkling rose style. Uses the award winning Mekano closure using reclaimed plastic, for this colourful and innovative packaging.
Tasting Notes
Packed with floral aromas, underripe cherry, fresh cranberry, and a toasty, biscuity undertone. Crisp and clean style sets it apart from less reputable pet nats!
