Positioned on the Camino de Santiago Bodegas Godelia is the dream of a family with a passion for making wine and leaving a legacy in Bierzo.
Strict and meticulous selection of 30+ year old grapes in the vineyard. Manual harvest in 15 kg boxes. Thermal treatment of the grapes during the process at 10ºC. Manual sorting table. Gentle de-stemming and vinification in 150 hl stainless steel tanks. Controlled fermentation at a constant temperature of 25 ºC. Cap punched and pumped over according to the extraction potential. Fermentation and maceration with the skins 12 to 15 days. Malolactic fermentation in tank. Held for four months on its fine lees.
Tasting Notes
Cherry red with a purplish edge. Intense nose with aromas of fresh wild fruit along with floral and undergrowth aromas, with a slight mineral hue. In the mouth it is tasty, fresh, and elegant, slightly marked by soft tannins and with a long and persistent finish.
