Arbui Blanco 2025
DO Alicante, Spain
Merseguera (75%), Chardonnay (25%) · 2025 · 13.5% abv
Arbui Blanco is a blend of 75% Merseguera and 25% Chardonnay, sourced from selected vineyards in the inland region of Alicante. Merseguera contributes freshness, minerality, and Mediterranean character, while Chardonnay adds structure, texture, and complexity.
Hand-harvested grapes and temperature-controlled fermentation preserve the aromatic expression of both varieties. The wine displays aromas of white fruit, citrus, and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and elegant, with a smooth texture, excellent structure, and a long, persistent finish that reflects the character of Alicante's terroir.
Production
Vinification combines traditional winemaking techniques with careful control at every stage of the process. From the manual selection of the grapes to fermentation in 500-litre French oak barrels and subsequent lees ageing, the aim is to preserve the identity of the grape varieties while enhancing complexity, balance, and a true expression of the vineyard.
Vinyard
Arbui Blanco comes from selected vineyards located in the inland region of Alicante, at around 580 metres above sea level. The combination of altitude, Mediterranean climate, and traditional vineyard management promotes slow and balanced ripening, preserving the freshness and aromatic expression of the grapes.
The climate is Mediterranean with a strong continental influence, featuring hot, dry summers, low annual rainfall, and cool nights. The significant day-to-night temperature variation helps maintain the grapes' natural acidity, resulting in fresh, balanced wines with excellent aromatic intensity.
Abundant sunshine and low rainfall support sustainable viticulture and naturally limit yields, producing high-quality grapes that faithfully express the character of inland Alicante.
