Production
Vinification combines traditional winemaking techniques with careful control at every stage of the process. From the manual selection of the grapes to temperature-controlled fermentation and subsequent ageing, the aim is to preserve the identity of Monastrell and faithfully express the character of the vineyard and the vintage.
Vinyard
Arbui Monastrell comes from low-yield bush vines located in the inland region of Alicante, at around 580 metres above sea level. The combination of altitude, climate, and traditional vineyard management produces grapes of outstanding quality, expressing the true character and identity of Monastrell.
The climate is Mediterranean with a strong continental influence, featuring hot, dry summers, low annual rainfall, and cool nights. The significant day-to-night temperature variation allows for slow and balanced ripening, preserving the grapes' natural acidity, freshness, and aromatic intensity.
The abundance of sunshine and the dry conditions reduce disease pressure and support sustainable viticulture. These natural conditions limit yields, resulting in concentrated grapes with excellent structure, balance, and a genuine expression of the inland Alicante terroir.
