Caprichio de Goya NV

Navarra, Spain

Moscatel De Grano Menudo (100%) · NV · 16% abv

An intense and deeply layered Moscatel with aromas of dried plum, fig, toasted nuts and mocha. Richly textured and powerful on the palate, it unravels with oxidative depth and savoury complexity, finishing with remarkable length and lift.
Production

Fermented and fortified to retain natural sweetness, the wine ages three years in open-air glass demijohns, where evaporation and weather shape its character. It then matures three years in large century-old wooden vats and a final year in smaller barriques, building density, oxidative nuance and finesse.

Vinyard

Late-harvested Moscatel de Grano Menudo thrives in Corella’s continental climate, where hot days and cool nights intensify sugar concentration and aromatic detail. The small berries yield intensely flavoured juice, ideal for crafting naturally sweet wines that balance richness with structure.

Pairing

A natural partner to aged Navarran Idiazabal with honey, blue cheeses, or rich duck liver pâté. It also excels alongside roasted fig tart or spiced almond cake, where its depth and sweetness shine.
