Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Réserve NV
Crémant de Bourgogne, France
Chardonnay (40%), Pinot Noir (40%), Aligoté (10%), Gamay (10%) · NV · 12% abv
Bright orchard fruit, citrus peel and white flowers lead into a supple palate framed by Pinot Noir’s gentle structure. Aligoté lifts the blend with a lively edge, while Gamay adds a burst of red-fruit charm. Fine bubbles carry the flavours through a crisp, dry finish.
Production
Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed to avoid vegetal notes. Primary fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle to develop a fine mousse. After a minimum of 13 months on lees, bottles are riddled and disgorged to ensure purity and freshness before release.
Vineyard
Grapes come from growers’ parcels across Mancey, Royer and Vers in southern Burgundy, where calcareous soils and a cool continental climate deliver freshness and precision. The diverse sites allow each variety to contribute its hallmark — fruit from Chardonnay, structure from Pinot Noir, vivacity from Aligoté and brightness from Gamay.
Pairing
Excellent as an aperitif or mixed with crème de cassis for a classic Kir. Its crisp profile also pairs beautifully with crêpes, almond-filled Pithiviers, or blackcurrant-based desserts.
