Aromatic and textured, showing ripe white peach, apricot skin, almond and a savoury umami edge. Clean, precise and mouthcoating, with a long, nutty finish.

Production

This is the first wine aged in terracotta amphora by Bodegas Bhilar. This is not an orange wine made from a prolonged skin maceration. Rather, it was made using a traditional ageing method that allows the wine to evolve very differently than in stainless steel tanks or oak barrels.

Vinyard

Sourced from biodynamic plots in Elvillar, Rioja Alavesa, where limestone soils and cool nights preserve perfume and acidity. High-altitude vineyards give tension to Garnacha Blanca’s natural breadth.

Pairing

A superb match for porchetta with cannellini beans, or aged Manchego with quince paste.
