Dourbie's signature wine, Mala Coste, is sourced from four plots at the heart of the garrigue. Garnet red with ruby highlights, it offers aromas of morello cherry, redcurrant, and sweet spice. The palate is fine and harmonious, with tangy red fruit, light silky tannins, and a fresh, well-balanced finish.
Production
Vinification takes place in stainless steel and concrete vats, before the wine is blended and matured for 18 months in large wooden tuns. This patient élevage enhances structure and complexity while preserving the purity of the fruit and the expression of terroir.
Vineyard
La Dourbie farms organically across two contrasting terroirs: river-bordered vines in the Hérault Valley and high-altitude plots in Rouveyrolles. At 350 m in the heart of the garrigue, Rouveyrolles benefits from northwest exposure and cool evenings, fostering optimal ripening and vibrant aromatics. Surrounded by thyme, rosemary, lavender, and juniper, this terroir of strong identity shines through in cuvées like Mala Coste, delivering wines expressive of their unique landscape.

Mala Coste Rouge pairs beautifully with sweet-savoury dishes like duck breast with figs, or more classic dishes such as slow-cooked leg of lamb and beef bourguignon. It also complements hearty vegetarian options like lentil cake pizza or lentil soup with smoked tofu.
