Mosel Riesling 2023

Most the estate’s vineyards are 60-100 years old, ungrafted, and are still planted on a single pole. The vineyards themselves are in the under-rated Thörnicher Ritsch and Klüsserather Bruderschaft sites, around 4ha, with them situated in the prime almost fully south-facing slopes overseeing the Mosel. The profile of these vineyards is open on both sides, quite rare in these parts, which allows the cold air from the plateau to work it’s way through the vineyards helping to preserve the acidity well into the harvest.
