New Theory - Growing Pains 2023

Stellenbosch, South Africa

Cinsault (100%) · 2023 · 12% abv

Medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, this Cinsault layers blackberry, dark cherry, and subtle spice with soft tannins and a gentle, earthy undertone. A savoury edge complements its bright, juicy core.
Production

Hand-harvested and fermented with native yeast before ageing for ten months in seasoned oak. Minimal intervention allows vineyard character to shine, producing a wine with both freshness and depth.

Vinyard

From 60-year-old bush vines on decomposed granite slopes of Helderberg Mountain. The combination of old vines, maritime influence, and stony soils yields fruit with structure, depth, and natural acidity.

Pairing

Pairs effortlessly with grilled lamb shoulder, mushroom risotto, or roast duck with cherry glaze. Its savoury character also complements earthy vegetable dishes.

Ecological Credentials

Vegan, Vegetarian
