Valdecuriel Roble 2024
DO Ribera del Duero, Spain
Tempranillo (100%) · 2024 · 14.5% abv
A vibrant Roble with lively cherry and violet hues. Aromas of red fruit, wild flowers and a hint of toast segue into juicy red and black fruit on the palate. Fresh acidity and subtle spice lift silky tannins, while a long, juicy finish underscores its youth and energy.
Production
Matured for nine months in a mix of new and used French and American oak barrels, giving the wine structure and subtle toasted notes.
Vinyard
Valdecuriel’s vineyards lie in Las Pinzas Valley on the Duero plain between Curiel and Pesquera. At over 800 m altitude, the vines grow in soils of silt, clay and limestone sand. A Mediterranean‑Continental climate, shaped by dramatic temperature shifts, produces Tempranillo grapes with distinctive character and strength.
Pairing
Enjoy with young cheeses, roast vegetables or delicate dishes like white asparagus from nearby Tudela del Duero.
