Viña Muriel Solariego (Vino de Elciego) is an elegant, single-vineyard 100% Tempranillo red from Rioja Alavesa. It displays a bright cherry-red color, aromas of ripe red and black fruits, sweet spices, and floral hints. The palate is broad, fresh, and balanced with silky tannins and a lingering finish.

Production

Hand‑harvested grapes are selected in the vineyard before a cold pre‑maceration. Fermentation lasts around fifteen days in stainless steel at controlled temperatures. Solariego spends twenty‑four months in French oak barrels and rests in bottle until release, allowing fruit, tannin and oak to knit seamlessly.

Finca de El Gallo sits at about 520 m above the Duero plain near El Ciego. Calcareous loam‑clay soils low in organic matter help preserve brightness and structure. A Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influences and dramatic day–night temperature swings shapes Tempranillo fruit with resilience and aromatic depth; 50‑year‑old vines are bush‑trained and low‑yielding.
